Wall Screeding Calculator

The FRELUX Screeding Calculator estimates wall screeding materials based on the surface area to be screeded. Enter your room dimensions, and the calculator determines the total screeding area in square metres (m²), then calculates screeding paint (litres) and white cement (kg) required.

How the FRELUX Screeding Methodology Works

FRELUX calculates screeding in two stages:

  1. Calculate surface area in m²: measure each wall (length × height), deduct doors and windows. For fence screeding, enter the dimensions in feet or metres and the calculator converts the resulting surface area to m².
  2. Calculate materials: the screeding area (m²) is divided by the admin-configured coverage rate to determine screeding paint in litres. White cement quantity is calculated using a consumption ratio (kg per litre of screeding paint). Both values include a configurable waste percentage.

How to Interpret the Results

The calculator shows total screeding area in m², screeding paint in litres (with bucket count), white cement in kg (with bag count), and material costs. Both theoretical and practical purchase quantities are displayed separately: theoretical quantities reflect what you need, practical quantities reflect what you must buy (rounded up to whole buckets/bags).

Screeding for Fences and Exterior Walls

For fence screeding, input the fence dimensions in feet or metres. The calculator converts the surface area to m² and applies the same screeding methodology. This ensures consistent material estimation regardless of whether you measure in feet or metres.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does FRELUX use a cement:sand mix ratio for screeding?

No. The FRELUX screeding methodology calculates screeding paint (litres) and white cement (kg) based on the surface area in m² and admin-configured coverage/consumption rates. It does not use an arbitrary cement:sand ratio.

Can I calculate screeding for fences?

Yes. Enter the fence dimensions in feet or metres. The calculator converts the surface area to m² and calculates materials using the same methodology.

Is the screeding area shown in m²?

Yes. All screeding calculations ultimately use square metres (m²) as the unit of measurement, even when input dimensions are in feet.
